Double standard on leaks
dogs Obama White House

President Obama and his attorney general find themselves in a melee over national security leaks, with Republicans calling for a special counsel investigation of leaks favorable to Obama and liberals and libertarians condemning administration maneuvers to have Julian Assange brought to the United States to face leaks charges.

Attorney General Eric Holder has been resisting calls for a special counsel probe of leaks of national security information concerning Obama's counterterror operations and, according to leaked information, has been diligently overseeing a national security case being prepared against Assange, a founder of Wikileaks, which has disseminated documents showing that government routinely deceives the public. Assange is to be extradited to Sweden to be questioned by a woman prosecutor concerned about Assange purportedly having unprotected sex with two women.

The Obama administration had sent strong diplomatic signals that it wanted the Swedes to make an issue of the Assange matter, and Assange fears that the Swedes will deport him to the United States as soon as the "questioning" is over.

Either Mitt met Bilderbergers
or lookalike fooled hotel staff

Mitt Romney's campaign, after first trying to finesse, denied that he had attended the secretive Bilderberg conference despite having been seen by four hotel workers, the Guardian reports.

The Guardian's Charlie Skelton noted that the conference's "final" list of participants lacks credibility because, for example, Microsoft founder Bill Gates was photographed outside the hotel but his name was not mentioned as in attendance.

Romney's office initially refused to confirm or deny his attendance on grounds that the Bilderberg gathering is "not public," said Skelton, but later said the person who looked like Romney was not Romney.

Obama's body count method echoes Viet war
President Obama's method of counting casualties in drone strikes does "little to box him in," the New York Times has reported.

Citing "several administration officials," the Times reported that this method "in effect counts all military-age males in a strike zone as combatants ... unless there is explicit intelligence posthumously proving them innocent." The Times reported that this standard allowed counterterrorism adviser John Brennan to claim in June 2011 that for nearly a year "there hasn't been a single collateral death because of the exceptional proficiency, precision of the capabilities that we've been able to develop."

This casualty counting method is highly reminiscent of the U.S. military's body counts of "enemy" killed during the Vietnam war, when civilians killed by U.S. fire were almost always counted as enemy killed in action.

NSA cyber chief huddles
with international bankers

America's top cyber warrior was a special guest of the world's power elite at a secrecy-shrouded conference in Virginia.

National Security Agency Director Keith B. Alexander wore his other hat of commander of the U.S. Cyber Command while attending the Bilderberg Conference in Chantilly, Va., over the weekend.

In a scenario that has long worried cyber security experts, therecently discovered Flame cyberspying tool is "a man-in-the-middle attack that allows someone to impersonate Microsoft Update to deliver malware — disguised as legitimate Microsoft code — to unsuspecting users," reports Wired's Threat Level blog.

The Flame cyberspy weapon has been infecting machines -- possibly for the past several years -- primarily in the Middle East and is believed to have been crafted by a nation-state, Threat Level and other media have reported.

Cyber security is a big thorn in the side of the world's financial sector, particularly considering the already shaky situation in financial markets brought about by heavy computerized trading. Others joining international bankers, finance ministers and favored politicians were Eric E. Schmidt, executive chairman of Google Inc., Craig J. Mundie, chief research and strategy officer for Microsoft Corp. and Neelie Kroes, the digital agenda chief for the European Commission. Google and Microsoft have experienced very grave security breaches in the last several years, with the finger of suspicion pointing at hackers working for Chinese government units.

Also on hand among the security experts was President Obama's national security adviser, Thomas E. Donilon, as well as U.S. Senator John Kerry and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels.  Pascal Lamy, director general of the World Trade Organization, was also an invitee.

Bilderberg Conference participants are sworn to secrecy. However, the purpose of the secrecy is not to hide anything from various governments, but to hide discussions from the public, who might object to the globalist maneuverings. A number of Russian politicians were present, along with China's vice minister of foreign affairs, Ying Fu. Evidently, the globalist agenda includes the communist point of view.

The aging David Rockefeller, a major patron of the Bilderberg and other "one world" groups, was not listed among "final participants" by the Bilderberg secretariat, though his protege Henry Kissinger was said to have shown up.

A number of prominent media people, including Donald E. Graham, publisher and chief executive officer of the Washington Post, were on the Bilderberg guest list. They attend under an agreement not to inform their viewers and readers about the discussions. What is the point of their presence? They are expected to promote globalist propaganda aims, according to critics.

The Post, perhaps prompted by a report in the Washington Times, ran a feature story on protests by "conspiracy theorists," but honored the conference's desire to avoid leaked information. In this respect, the conference is far more successful than the U.S. government.

Though Alex Jones's sites, PrisonPlanet and InfoWars, gave considerable attention to the conference and protests led by Jones, a search of Google shows that Bilderberg coverage was scant in business-controlled media. The few stories that did appear in corporate media either gave token coverage or took an "all this is great fun" tone while saying nothing of substance, thus lending substance to the charge that the media of America and other nations are not independent.

Media people huddling with the secretive globalists included Enis Berberoğlu, editor-in-chief, Hürriyet newspaper, Turkey;  Oscar Bronner, publisher, Der Standard Medienwelt, Austria;
Lilli Gruber, anchorwoman, La 7 TV, Italy;  Erik Izraelewicz, CEO of Le Monde, France; Peggy Noonan, columnist for The Wall Street Journal; Martin H.  Wolf, chief economics commentator for Britain's The Financial Times; and Pietro Supino, chairman and publisher, Tamedia AG, Switzerland.

Other media people: Charlie Rose of public television's Charlie Rose interview show; Matthias Nass, chief International correspondent, Die Zeit, Germany; Richard N. Perle, resident fellow, American Enterprise Institute, and a longtime journalist; John Micklethwait, editor-in-chief of The Economist, Britain; and Juan Luis Cebrián, CEO of the Spanish media group PRISA and chairman of the newspaper El País.

Handling internal reporting were two journalists for the Economist: Vendeline von Bredow, business correspondent, and Adrian D. Wooldridge, foreign correspondent.

Wall Street Journal writer agrees
to Bilderberg conspiracy of silence

Media biggies sworn to silence
about what goes on at the Bilderberg conference: John Micklethwait, editor-in-chief of The Economist; Peggy Noonan, Wall Street Journal columnist; and Gideon Rachman, global affairs commentator at the Financial Times. Two other Economist writers were listed as "rapporteurs."

The Journal is owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., which is at the center of a scandal involving phone hacking, improper political influence and police corruption. The Murdoch operations are under investigation for a conspiracy of silence that reached into British Prime Minister David Cameron's inner circle.

Another journalist who has agreed to the Bilderberg code of silence is the arch neoconservative Richard Perle.

Others expected to attend are the former banker David Rockefeller and his associate Henry Kissinger.

In his Memoirs (Random House 2003), Rockefeller boasted that his aim was "one world" globalism, writing:

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure — one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

Rockefeller has long been a powerful backer of the Bilderberg conferences. Other interests of his were the internationalist Trilateral Commission and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace when Alger Hiss was its president.

Avaaz relents, permits 9/11 petition
Avaaz's aim is to empower the masses, but its managers didn't, however, want to empower 9/11 skeptics.

Ian Henshall, a British 9/11 activist, reports that the web site had taken down a 9/11 petition, but eventually permitted it to reappear.

Avaaz says that it "empowers millions of people from all walks of life to take action on pressing global, regional and national issues, from corruption and poverty to conflict and climate change. Our model of internet organising allows thousands of individual efforts, however small, to be rapidly combined into a powerful collective force."

The petition concerning the collapse of World Trade Center building 7 reappeared, says Henshall, "after some internal wrangles at Avaaz it would appear, or possibly after lots of protests."

http://avaaz.org/en/petition/Revise_the_US_government_final_report_on_the_collapse_of_Building_7/

Among protesters at the Bilderberg conference are critics of the official positions taken by various governments confirming the U.S. claims concerning what happened on Sept. 11, 2001.

White House aide on Bilderberg list
but his doings are kept under wraps
President Obama's national security adviser is on the Bilderberg conference list of attendees, but the U.S. press has shown little interest in this fact.

The adviser, Thomas E. Donilon, is expected under conference rules to avoid explaining to Americans the interest of the Obama White House in the conference.

Meanwhile, police established a security perimeter around the Westfields Marriott hotel in Fairfax County, Va., that is hosting the secretive Bilderberg conference and prohibited a Washington Post photographer from snapping pictures from a public street, the Post reports.

However, there is no word that the Post went to court to seek relief from police interference in first amendment privileges.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/is-bilderberg-a-conference-on-world-affairs-or-a-powerful-global-cabal-depends-on-who-you-ask/2012/06/01/gJQA5uqx7U_story.html

Reports by PrisonPlanet were far more substantive than the Post's feature story.

Some critics charge that some conference participants may be violating the Logan Act, which forbids American citizens from international negotiations affecting national policy.

"Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.”

The Law of the Sea treaty is a major topic of the 2012 conference, which could implicate some Americans in improper negotiations, critics charge.

However, such prosecutions seem unlikely given national security adviser Donilon's attendance at the conference.

Gov neglected to tell public
of planned Bilderberg huddle
The New York Times is cooperating in the blackout of protests at the Bilderberg conference in Chantilly, Virginia, and the use of police to bar photographs in a public area.

According to a check of the Times' search engine, the last story on the Bilderbergers was a feature about "conspiracy theorists" that appeared in 2004.

One attendee at the shadowy conference of power elite, Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, neglected to alert the press or public about his itinerary, according to a media report.
http://www.journalgazette.net/article/20120601/NEWS07/306019922/1002/LOCAL

For more information (and opinionated writing), check Prisonplanet.com.

The Bilderberg conferences were organized in the 1950s, during the Cold War, with the Rockefeller family as a major sponsor.

The group's stated aim is to permit political and business leaders to discuss matters of international import without worry about media scrutiny. Influential journalists have been Bilderberg attendees, but they could attend only by agreeing to a pledge of journalistic silence.

The power of the Bilderberg controllers is evidenced by the fact that so much of American media bows to the Bildeberger desire to avoid press coverage.

The conferences are governed by a steering committee which designates a chairman; members are elected for a term of four years and can be re-elected. An executive secretary reports to the chairman. Expenses of maintaining the "secretariat" of the Bilderberg meetings are covered by private subscription, the secretariat says.

The Rockefellers put their weight behind the Bildeberg parleys after severe embarrassments concerning communist penetration and even control of two of their foreign policy think tanks.

They bankrolled the Institute of Pacific Relations, which drew fire as a hotbed of communist espionage and subversion and which was quietly shut down about a decade after the scandals broke. Investigations revealed that the communist underground had gained control of IPR's nominating committee by the late 1940s.

The Rockefellers were also stung badly when Alger Hiss, the president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (sometimes known as the Carnegie Endowment for World Peace), was accused of having been a high-level Soviet mole in the State Department. Hiss's accuser, Whittaker Chambers, was denounced as a fraud by a leftwing contingent, but U.S. intelligence had a strong pattern of circumstantial evidence against Hiss, which could not be used against him at the time.

It has been reported that during the Cold War, people from communist countries were invited to the Bilderberg talks, though their names did not appear on the lists of attendees issued by the secretariat.
